Representative office of state tourism agency “Czech Tourism” will be opened in Ekaterinburg, InterFax reports.

The new tourist office of the agency will start working in September, 2008, that is what Czech delegation and foreign policy committee of Ekaterinburg agreed upon in the recent meeting.

“We’ve always had very good connexions with Czech Republic. The interest of Russians and residents of Ekaterinburg, in particular, has been arousing year by year to the country.  Russians are the main visitors to Karlovy Vary. That’s why the unveiling of the tourism office is a consistent result and very promising event”, Victor Korneev, vice-mayor of Ekaterinburg, noticed.

The only Czech agency office is now situated in Moscow. Ekaterinburg will become the next city in Russia, which will accommodate the second office.   

Czech Republic will also conduct a special event in Russia. On June 16  Czech Delegation will arrive to Saint-Petersburg and offer several tourism development opportunities for the region.

Several meetings with the local tourism agencies will be held.
