This year much more tourists will visit Russian resorts, analysts believe.

Krasnodar and Stavropol regions will be the most popular destinations. Not more than 7.5 million tourists visited the regions 3-4 years ago. This year 22 million tourists are expected.

29 million Russians spent their vacations at home resorts last year. 5 million of them visited Krasnodar region. Krasnodar accommodated much more tourists in comparison with the most popular "Russian" destinations: Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Greece and Italy, Interfax reports.

Far-East, Altai, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Astrahan and Moscow regions will be the most visited among Russians.

However Turkey also remains popular. 2.5 million Russians were in the country last year. This year tour agencies noticed increased demand for Turkish tours. Even autumn tours have already been booked.
