Dmitry Medvedev opens St. Pete Economic Forum

“Russia wants to make an important contribution to the world economy. We want foreign countries to take into account our opinion on development of the world economy”, claimed today Dmitry Medveded, Russian President, on the opening ceremony of St. Pete Economic Forum.  

“Russia is an important economic player. We fully realize our responsibility for the world’s fate and want to be allowed to make a significant contribution to the world economy, not out of the power ambitions, but because we can bring a bunch of opportunities and resources.

When it came to the world economy crisis, Medvedev noticed that USA doesn’t meet the requirements of the world economy. It is one of the main reasons for the current economy crisis. It doesn’t matter how large the American market is and how reliable American financial system is. Americans are not able to supply global financial and commercial market.
