Some Oregon hotels offer free gas to tourists

Some Oregon hotels and businesses are hoping to entice travelers with a break on gas this summer to keep them out and about, NWCN reports.

For example, The Pacific Reef Hotel in Gold Beach recently began giving guests gas gift certificates worth $10 according for a night's stay.

The cost of gasoline is high. People can defray some of the gasoline cost if they come to the southern Oregon Coast for a visit.

The cost of automobile travel is an important factor in travel budgets this year more so than ever.

The United States don't expect fuel prises settle back down in the next couple of weeks.

Choice Hotels International, Creswell rafting outfitter also make the most significant contribution to the free-gas project.
