First information centers for tourists will be created in Yaroslavl region this year, said Galina Krohmal, director of the committee for tourism development of industry, entrepreneurship and transport department of the Yaroslavl region, Interfax Tourism reports.  

According to Galina Krohmal, information on hotels, restaurants, museums, entertainment, transport, hotel and other accommodation booking services, excursion and transport reservation will be provided by the centers to the tourists.

The centers will be equipped with comfortable easy-to-use facilities: sensor kiosks, computers with the Internet access.  The centers will also include souvenir shops. Some services will be also free of charge. Information will be provided in different languages.

The centers will be located in the central districts of the cities, in the most popular tourism areas.

New information centers to be created not only in Yaroslavl , but in Uglich, Rostov, Pereslavl-Zalesskiy, Myshkino, and in Tutaevo.

By 2010, the year of thousandth anniversary of Yaroslavl, the region’s tourist and information center to be opened in Yaroslavl.

The center will be opened in Uglich in September. Now the reconstruction of the building to be used for the center is underway, said Elena Kanaeva, head of the department for tourism and international contacts development of the Uglich region administration.   

The information center is going to be opened in Myshkino this summer, reported the administration of Myshkino region.
