According to the research of the company “BusinessVision” there are 220 hotels totaling 35000 rooms in Moscow today. By 2010 the number of hotels is expected to grow by 556 hotels totaling 186473 rooms.  Thus the quantity of capital’s hotels is expected to double by the year of 2010.

At present middle class hotel accommodations occupy 44 per cent of the Moscow hotel market. High-top hotel accommodations take 26 per cent of the market.  The hotels are mainly concentrated in Central and Northeast districts of the city.

Room rates of Moscow hotels, considered to be one of the highest in Europe, are growing constantly (the average price for the night now amounts to €200). Lack of hotel accommodations of all classes, increasing demand for hotel accommodations, hotel investment attractiveness, lack of fierce business competition stimulate the price growth.
