Second Russian Economic Forum “Cluster development – the basis of innovative national economy” was held in Samara
Next-Stop.ru | 7 July 2008On July, 3-6 the second Interregional Economic Forum "Samara initiative: Cluster development forms innovative national economy" was held in Samara.
Ministry for economic development of Russian Federation, Samara’s government and Ministry for economic development, investment and trade of Samara region were the organizers of the Forum.
The federal and regional authorities, representatives of some largest foreign and Russian businesses, the leading experts in the sphere of economic and clusters policy, representatives of international finance institutes and colleges and European clusters were the participants of the Forum.
Anatoliy Yarochkin, deputy head of Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, presented the Agency on the Forum.
All in all more than 500 people took part in the event this year.
The main goal of the Forum is to discuss developing and strengthening the national innovative economy via the effective implementation of cluster initiatives as one of the essential components of innovation strategy of country’s development, working out the specific mechanisms for support and stimulation of territorial and manufacturing clusters development.
The participants of “Samara initiative” discussed the strategies of country’s innovation development, the ways of raising regions competitiveness on the market. The talks were focused on issues concerning development of finance infrastructure and special economic zones of the country.
Several conferences and round tables were held in course of the Forum. Opportunities for automobile and recreation clusters development, implementation of cluster policy in the spheres of information technologies and telecommunication were discussed at the conferences.
One of the conferences was devoted to discussing ecology problems of the large industrial centers of the country.
The exhibition “Investment and industrial potential of Samara region” was also held in the course of the Forum.
Anatoliy Yarochkin also conducted discussions during the round table “Creation of the recreation cluster. Strategies of development of the competitive tourism product of the region”.
