Medvedev held a meeting with Japan prime minister in hotel “Windsor”Next-Stop.ru | 8 July 2008Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in the meeting with prime minister of Japan Yasuo Fukuda held in the course of G8 Summit in Hokkaido declared today, that he is satisfied with the level of Japan-Russian relations development. The informal meeting was held in the hotel “Windsor”. “The connections between the countries are developing in a dynamic way. We also observe good figures in trade and economic cooperation”, said Medvedev. The Russian leader expressed his thanks to Japan side for the good organization of G8 summit meetings. "I would like to thank you for the brilliant organization of the summit, for all the conveniences you provided for our meetings in this amazing place”, said Medvedev in a statement. In his turn Mr Fukuda noticed that he is glad to greet such a respectable guest in Japan on the G8 Summit. The prime minister recalled his last visit to Russia and thanked Medvedev for the warm welcome. "Last time we saw each other, you didn’t fill the position of Russian president”, said Fukuda.
