On June 8 the meeting of Vitaly Mutko, minister of sport, tourism and youth policy in Russia, Vladimir Strazhlovsky, head of Russian Federal Agency for tourism, with ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Spain was held in Russian Federal Agency for tourism.

The Spain ambassador reported about the results of Juan Carlos’s, Spain king, visit to Russia. During the meeting of Juan Carlos with Dmitry Medvedev on June 19 issues concerning tourism were discussed. The leaders of two countries emphasized the necessity to develop Spain-Russian common cooperation in tourism field.
 
According to Spanish side, Spain state secretary of tourism is going to visit Moscow for participation in International Tourism Fair “Leisure” which will be held on September 23-26 2008 in the expo center “Krokus Expo”. In the course of this visit the meeting devoted to development the business relations between the countries will be held.  

Spain intends to extend the cooperation with Russia in the sphere of language teaching. The meetings of the representatives of Spain and Latin America universities with the colleagues from Russian universities will be held. The main goal of these events is mutual popularization of the Russian and Spanish in the countries. This will undoubtedly spur tourist exchange between the countries and help to raise the quality of tourism service in the countries.
