The four-star hotel complex “Novotel” totaling 200 rooms will be built in Krasnodar on the territory of the present city hospital. The front of the hospital building will be build into the first floor of the new 9-storey building. As Kommersant reports, the Krasnodar architect Alexander Kuznetsov informed about that in the meeting of the city administration.  

“Such an approach seems to be the most suitable one – from the one hand we preserve the unique appearance of the building, from the other hand modern hotel will appear in the city”.

The company “Kesco” will finance the project. At the moment the permission documentation for the complex construction is being validating. The investment to the project will amount to $200mln. The payback period of the complex is expected to be 7 years.

Now “Kesko” is in the process of negotiating with the hotel operator Accor Group in order to charge the operator with managing the new hotel. If the parties come to an agreement, new Krasnodar hotel will get a brand name “Novotel”. Standards and technology of the hotel chain “Novotel” will be introduced in the hotel complex.        

Earlier the mayor of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov reported, that the hotel construction on the area of the hospital will begin unless the hospital is moved to another building which will be built in the city’s suburbs.   

“Now we are in the process of validating the documents for the construction of the new hospital building which “Kesco” has to build instead of the old one”, clarified the director of “Kesco-Krasnodar” Vladimir Bogdanov.   The head of the company didn’t specify the sum to be invested to the construction of the new hospital building. He only reported that all the expenses were initially included to the whole investment sum.  

ООО “Kesko” was established in 2003. It is a member of the group of companies “Atek”. “Atek” is a development company, which also operates the objects of commercial real estate.  In the sphere of hotel business “Kesco” together with “Accor Group” constructs and operates the hotels of two Accor brands – Ibis and Novotel.
