The project of tourism and recreation zone “Old Fortress” has finally been developed. The town planning department of the city was the initiator of the project.

 

According to the project the tourism and recreation zone with the developed multifunctional tourism infrastructure will be created in the center of Penza. The project also supposes reconstruction of the history monuments and construction of the new objects in harmony with the existed ones.

 

The whole complex of the zone will include 4 mini-districts: the first district will include the reconstructed historical buildings with hotels and offices, the second – the part of the rampant together with the covered atrium hall, the third – shopping and entertainment objects, the fourth - the underground area suitable for parking and able to technical supply the complex.

 

The town planning department estimates the construction to €31 million. The project is expected to be implemented in 2 years. The payback period will be not more than 2 years.
