In the next two years the quantity of conference halls in Yekaterinburg will be doubled.

The conference halls of the Middle Ural able to seat 15 ths people at the moment. According to press office of vice mayor of the city Victor Konteev special project “International congress center” was created.   

The goal of the center is to turn Yekaterinburg in the congress center of federal importance and to attract business tourism to the city.

In the course of the project the construction of the congress center “Demidov”, social and administrative complex “Onegin Palace” is underway. The new conference hall with a total of 2,5 ths places will be built. Conference hall will open in the hotel “Hyatt” and in the business center “Ural”.

Approximately 450 events are held in Yekaterinburg annually. Every congress event is able to enrich the budget of the city by $5 mln.
