Public hearing devoted to the order of construction in the territory near Mikhajlovskij Palace and circus in Saint-Petersburg was held in the central district of Saint-Petersburg Thursday.  

According to the project developed by ООО “ARS” at the plot bounded by embankment of Fontanka river and Inzhenernaya, Klenovaya and Zamkovaya Streets where the substation is located the hotel will be built, correspondent of BN.ru reports. ООО “Royal Garden Hotel” is the developer of the project.

Till 1914 the military storehouse was located there. Later the substation was built there which supplied Leningrad with electric power during the Blockade.

The majority of listeners who came to the hearing showed negative attitude to the project and asked the administration to add the construction of some other objects to the project: playground, green zone, preservation of the building of substation.
