Heliopark Group sells 3 hotels located in the regions of Russia
The hotel company “Heliopark Group” sells some of its assets planning
to strike a bargain with IFC (International Finance Corporation) which
is going to purchase 25% of shares of the group. The following three four-star hotels are up for sale to the investors:
“Heliopark Old Estate” in Pskov, “Heliopark Emmaus” in Tver region and
“Sosnovaya roscha” located not far away from Yalta. The bargain will be concluded officially by the end of the current year.

Hotel of Hilton opened in Perm
The hotel “Hilton Garden Inn” opened in Perm. It is located in the
reconstructed building of the hotel “Plaza Olympia”, Interfax-Povolzhie
reported. At the opening ceremony “Hilton Hotels Corporation” and ÎÎÎ
“Business-Contact” inked a franchise agreement on the construction of
another hotel of Hilton in Perm. According to the director for
development of ÎÎÎ “Business-Contact” Sergey Stashkov the company is
planning to build the five-star hotel of “Doubletree by Hilton” in the
center of Perm by the middle of 2010. The investment to the project
will amount to €30 mln. The company is planning to start the
construction in the spring of 2009.

Second hotel of Hyatt in Russia to open in Yekaterinburg
The international hotel chain “Hyatt” will open the first 5-star hotel
“Hyatt Regency” in Yekaterinburg in the end of 2008. It will be the
second hotel of Hyatt after the hotel “Ararat Park Hyatt” in Russia.
The company “Bouyges Batiment International” will be in charge of the
construction by the request of investment and construction company
“Verkh-Isetskaya”.

“United industry corporation” is going to build high-top hotel and
apartment complex on the place of the hotel “Primorskaya”. This was
reported to the correspondent of information agency Domania in the

Hotel business of Krasnoyarsk: High demand for hotels, lack of construction plots
Perm company “Business-Contact” is going to build the first hotel of
Hilton in the center of Krasnoyarsk. It will be the first five-star
hotel in the city. The investment to the construction of the hotel with
a total of 150-250 rooms will amount to €20-30 mln. According to
analysts the project might not be implemented as there is a lack of the
land plots in the city center. This was reported by deputy director of
the company development Sergey Stashkov. “We have been searching for the construction plot for a very long time
and unfortunately the plot can’t be our property now. The area of the
plot is 0,4 he. It will be enough to erect high-top hotel there. The
plot is located in the central part of the city, in close proximity to
the most important administrative and cultural objects”, said Stashkov.

On place of Petersburg blockade substation hotel to be erected
Public hearing devoted to the order of construction in the territory
near Mikhajlovskij Palace and circus in Saint-Petersburg was held in
the central district of Saint-Petersburg Thursday. According to the project developed by ÎÎÎ “ARS” at the plot bounded by
embankment of Fontanka river and Inzhenernaya, Klenovaya and Zamkovaya
Streets where the substation is located the hotel will be built,
correspondent of BN.ru reports. ÎÎÎ “Royal Garden Hotel” is the
developer of the project.

Businesses and officials in St. Petersburg want to propose a law that would allow ferry passengers to spend up to three days in the city without a visa. The northern capital has made a big effort in recent years to attract more tourists, largely under the leadership of Governor Valentina Matviyenko, who has said she hopes to make the city an "open European capital." Now, with added infrastructure and a much bigger tourism budget, St. Petersburg is ready to accommodate the additional visitors, potentially five times the current number, industry leaders and city officials say.

Hotel construction in Sochi: Federation Island to improve ecological situation in the region

At present neither foreign nor Russian investors show any interest to
the construction of economy class hotels in Moscow. City authorities
are anxious about the current state of affairs.
For example, the deputy of Moscow Duma Igor Protopopov claimed that if
the investors don’t finance economy class properties, the strategic
plan for hotel construction in Moscow by the year of 2010 will not be
implemented. According to the deputy, there are no any exact investment programs to
make it profitable for investors to finance middle class hotel
accommodations. Special legislation should be created in order to raise
investment attractiveness of the middle-class hotels market.

Hotel business of Krasnodar: “Kesco” to build “Novotel” in city hospital
The four-star hotel complex “Novotel” totaling 200 rooms will be built
in Krasnodar on the territory of the present city hospital. The front
of the hospital building will be build into the first floor of the new
9-storey building. As Kommersant reports, the Krasnodar architect
Alexander Kuznetsov informed about that in the meeting of the city
administration. “Such an approach seems to be the most suitable one – from the one hand
we preserve the unique appearance of the building, from the other hand
modern hotel will appear in the city”. The company “Kesco” will finance the project. At the moment the
permission documentation for the complex construction is being
validating. The investment to the project will amount to $200mln. The
payback period of the complex is expected to be 7 years.

Hotel of Marriott to be built in Tyumen
The coordinating council of region’s governor for creation of common
land and town-planning policy in Tyumen region approved today the
construction project of the hotel of Marriott worth $96mln in Tyumen,
Interfax reports. As press office of the Governor reports, the object to be established
in the central part of the region’s capital – Tyumen. It will be
located nearby the streets of Republic, Cheluskintsev and Lenina.

Accor to build hotel in Kostroma
The authorities of Kostroma region are in the process of negotiating
with the European bank of reconstruction and development and the
European investment bank on receiving the credit for construction of
the world-class hotel accommodation in the region’s capital, Kostroma.
The director of the department of the external economic affairs and
interregional cooperation of Kostroma region Maria Shapkina reported
Monday Interfax Tourism. "The negotiations may result in the construction of the hotel of Accor
Hotels. Most likely the hotel will take a brand name “Ibis””, said
Shapkina in a statement, “The exact sum of the credit is still not
defined, but it will amount to not less than €10mln.”

“Baltstroy” to build hotel on Fontanka in Saint-Petersburg

The International investment and development company in the sphere of hotel and tourism business Sovereign Hospitality Holdings will invest $1,5 bln into Russian hotel business. The company is also planning to come onto markets of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. The amount of investment to every country will be defined when the agreements with the partners are signed. The company doesn’t exclude the investment into Russia will exceed $1.5 bln. The same amount will be invested to Ukraine and Kazakhstan. By the end of 2008 the total investments will be assessed. The company considers managing of hotels, construction of new hotels and purchasing hotel properties.

Hotel Radisson SAS Olympisky to open in Moscow in 2010
The hotel Radisson SAS Olympisky being a part of multifunctional complex which now under construction nearby the sport-complex "Olympisky ” will open in Moscow in the middle of 2010. The total area of the multifunctional complex will be 80 ths m2, 33 ths m2 of which will be occupied by the hotel. 29 ths m2 of offices of class “A” and underground parking area totaling 420 car places will be included to the complex.
